This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations that can arise in both adults and children whilst taking part in outdoor or activity based environments.
Level 3 Award In Activity First Aid (RQF)
INTENDED AUDIENCE
The Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF) qualification has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing etc.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This Ofqual accredited qualification is aimed at the person who requires first aid training that covers more than that found on a typical one day course, but who does not need a full 16 hour course to satisfy NGB requirements.
The Activity First Aid qualification introduces the techniques, skills and decisions that will be needed to manage emergency first aid, illness & injury in the context of a range of Activities.
This is an intensive, practical course; normally run over two days. This Activity First Aid award is built from 2 mandatory units of assessment. One unit normally taught per day.
Who is it for?
- Climbing wall instructors, activity centre instructors, leisure centre staff,
- Group leaders, school minibus drivers, sports coaches, PE teachers, or
- any staff working on site with young people involved in adventurous activities or sports.
ASSESSMENT METHODS
1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).
6 x Practical assessments and 2 x Theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Papers).
Successful Learners will receive a personalised Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted*. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost.
